Remembering "Ms. R"

On May 20, 2010 between the boys' and girls' dorm, all of LSVI gathered to remember our teacher and colleague, Ms. Anita Ramachandran - or "Ms. R" as we called her. An Althea (commonly called "Rose of Sharon") tree was dedicated and planted in her memory. With her parents present, students and teachers spoke a few words regarding the ideals and attributes that made Ms. R special in our eyes. Ms. Gayle, colleague and friend of Ms. Ramachandran, was Mistress of Ceremonies. She created a special brochure with students' and teachers' memories and information on the Rose of Sharon. The brochure was presented to Ms. R's parents."After each winter follows spring. It happens in every season and in every life."
