Students of the Month
Each month, four LSVI students are honored as "Students of the Month." Teachers nominate students for this honor based on the following criteria:
- The student's ability to consistently maintain a positive attitude with administrators, teachers, staff and peers
- The student's willingness to assist others and show empathy, when appropriate, without being prompted
- The student's regular class participation and punctual completion of assignments
Each month, students are selected from each of the following groups:
- Kindergarten through fourth grade
- Grades 5 through 8
- Grades 9 through 12
- Alternate Track/Transition
Awards and recognition of the Students of the Month include:
- Certificate, ribbon and photo displayed on the Student of the Month bulletin board in the main hallway of the school.
- Lunch from McDonald's, with Director Simpson and/or Ms. Bello
- One "out of uniform day" (date determined by Ms. Bello)
- Photographs and names published in our school newspaper and/or on our school website
