Reminder: Annual Benefits Fair

The annual benefits fair for employees of the Louisiana School for the Deaf and the Louisiana School for the Visually Impaired is scheduled for Wednesday, August 4, 2010 from 1:00 - 3:00 p.m. in the Student Center Main Room.Employees who are interested in obtaining information from any provider may do so during the designated times. Employees who are unable to attend or to complete an enrollment transaction during the approved times must make arrangements with benefits representatives to conclude their business outside of working hours and location.
Offerings by these supplemental benefits vendors are completely voluntary, but employees electing to participate must have their premiums paid through payroll deduction.
Although the Louisiana School for the Deaf and Louisiana School for the Visually Impaired have a policy allowing authorized vendors to present their approved services or products to employees, the Schools do not endorse any offerings.
Employees have full responsibility for knowledge of the products or services they are purchasing and must obtain a clear understanding of all the terms of their contracts from the vendor's representative. The Schools' only responsibility is to assure that the payroll deductions are made in accordance with the signed payroll deduction authorization form (SED-4).
Employees' adherence to the above guidelines regarding supplemental benefits solicitation is required.
