Holidays and Early Dismissal Dates

LSVI is closed on weekends, and students must return home. On all dates listed are "Early Dismissal", classes will end at 12:15 p.m. and all students are dismissed at that time. On all Fridays not listed, classes will end at 2:30 p.m., and all students are dismissed at that time. Parents of students not riding buses should note these dismissal times. Opening Day

Classes will begin at 8:00 a.m. on Monday, August 11, 2008.

All students are required to go home on the following holidays:

Fall Break

All classes will end at 12:15 p.m., Thursday, October 2, 2008. Weekly and daily parish buses will pick up students at 12:15 p.m.. Classes will resume at 8:00 a.m. Monday, October 6, 2008. (Travel will take place on Sunday, October 5, 2008).

Thanksgiving

All classes will end at 12:15 p.m., Friday, November 21, 2008. Weekly and daily parish buses will pick up students at 12:15 p.m.. Classes will resume at 8:00 a.m. Monday, December 1, 2008. (Travel will take place on Sunday, November 30, 2008).

Christmas

All classes will end at 15 p.m., Friday, December 17, 2008. Weekly and daily parish buses will pick up students at 12:15 p.m.. Classes will resume at 8:00 a.m. Monday, January 5, 2009. (Travel will take place on Sunday, January 4, 2009).

Martin Luther King Day

All Classes will end at 2:30 p.m., Friday January 16, 2009. Weekly and daily parish buses will pick up students at 2:30 p.m.. Classes will resume at 8:00 a.m. Wednesday January 21, 2009. (Travel will take place on Tuesday January 20,2009)

Mardi Gras

All classes will end at 12:15 p.m., Friday, February 20, 2009. Weekly and daily parish buses will pick up students at 12:15 p.m.. Classes will resume at 8:00 a.m. Monday, March 2, 2009. (Travel will take place on Sunday, March 1, 2009).

Easter

All classes will end at 12:15 p.m., Friday, April 10, 2009. Weekly and daily parish buses will pick up students at 12:15 p.m.. Classes will resume at 8:00 a.m. Monday, April 20, 2009. (Travel will take place on Sunday, April 19, 2009).

Senior Graduation

Senior Graduation is tentatively scheduled for Thursday, May 14, 2009. Final date will be given at a later date. Seniors will be dismissed at that time.

Academic School Year Ends

All remaining students will be dismissed at 12:15 p.m. on Friday, May 22, 2009.
